Lake Lanier humidity, pine pollen and basement moisture end up in Flowery Branch ductwork. We clean it out, sanitize the system and help keep the moisture from coming back.
Fresh Cleaning Solutions provides air duct cleaning in Flowery Branch, GA, along with dryer vent cleaning, mold testing and air quality testing, from our shop at 530 Highland Station Dr in Suwanee. Flowery Branch is about 15 miles up I-85 and I-985, roughly 20 minutes to Exit 12 at Spout Springs Road, so same-day visits are common.
Flowery Branch sits in south Hall County on the shore of Lake Lanier, in the 30542 ZIP code. We cover the whole city, from the historic Main Street blocks by the old train depot to the lake side off Lights Ferry Road and the newer neighborhoods along Spout Springs and Hog Mountain Roads.
Every Flowery Branch visit includes:
Few towns in our service area live this close to the water. Lake Lanier runs right along the edge of Flowery Branch, and Aqualand Marina on Lights Ferry Road holds well over a thousand boat slips. All that open water keeps summer air heavy and damp. When humid air meets cold supply ducts in a hot attic or a cool basement, it condenses, and damp ductwork is where musty smells and mold get started.
The ground adds to it. Land near the lake rolls and slopes, so many Flowery Branch homes are built with basements dug into the hill, and others sit over crawl spaces. Both pull ground moisture toward the air handler. If your lower level smells musty or the house feels sticky with the AC running, a mold test or a full air quality test tells you what is in the air before you spend money on a fix. When the problem is moisture, a whole-house or crawl space dehumidifier or crawl space encapsulation stops it at the source.
Then comes spring. The pines and hardwoods around the lake coat docks, cars and screened porches in yellow pollen, and the same dust gets pulled through return vents and packed into filters and duct walls.
Flowery Branch began in 1874 as a stop on the new Atlanta to Charlotte rail line, and its Main Street district has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1985. Most of today's city is much newer. The population grew from 5,679 in 2010 to 9,391 in 2020, and about 6 in 10 homes in the 30542 ZIP code were built after 2000. Many of those homes are now 15 to 25 years old and still run on their original ductwork.
Sterling on the Lake is the clearest example. The master-planned community off Spout Springs Road has its own 75-acre lake, homes from the mid 2000s, and new phases still going up today. That means two kinds of houses side by side: older homes with two decades of dust and pet hair in the ducts, and brand new homes with drywall and construction dust left in theirs.
| Area | Typical homes | What we usually find | Best first step |
|---|---|---|---|
| Historic Main Street | Older homes, many updated over the years | Patched ductwork, renovation dust | Inspection, then duct cleaning |
| Sterling on the Lake | Mid 2000s to brand new | Original ducts never cleaned, or construction dust | Duct cleaning with free dryer vent |
| Lake side, off Lights Ferry Road | Mixed ages on sloped, wooded lots | Humidity, musty basements, heavy pollen | Air quality or mold test |
| Spout Springs and Hog Mountain Roads | Subdivisions from the 1990s to today | Long dryer vent runs, pet dander | Dryer vent and duct cleaning |

We just purchased this home and the ducts looked horrible. The guys from Fresh Cleaning Solutions came in and did an awesome job cleaning the ducts.
The two guys did a very good job. They did an excellent job. They did so well that my air-conditioning unit worked better and the deodorize was excellent. They clean even clean inside outside. They cleaned up behind the ductwork and both guys was very nice guys. Thank you so much for a job well done
5-stars! Choosing this company is a no-brainer. I called and asked to be serviced ASAP. They sent someone the next day (quick turnaround) and I am SO satisfied with the results. The pet odor is gone/neutralized and it’s better than I was able to achieve with my little green machine.

Often, yes. The first Sterling on the Lake homes went up in the mid 2000s, so many are on ductwork that has never been cleaned, with years of dust, pollen and pet hair inside. The newest phases have the opposite problem: drywall and construction dust left in the ducts. Either way, a free inspection shows you what is in there before you decide.
It raises the odds. The lake keeps summer air humid, and when that damp air hits cold ducts or a cool basement it condenses. Moisture plus dust is what mold needs. A musty smell is the first sign. A mold test confirms whether spores are elevated and where, and a dehumidifier or crawl space encapsulation keeps the moisture from coming back.
Every 3 to 5 years is the general rule. Clean sooner if you have pets or allergies, just finished a remodel, moved into a new build, or smell something musty when the system kicks on. Homes near the lake with heavy spring pollen and summer humidity tend to fall on the sooner end of that range.
